Fishing Under The Mats On The St Johns River

This is Capt Steve with the fishing report for the St Johns River. Today I did a 6 hour trip with John his 2 boys and Larry. The water temperature is up to about 90 in a few spots. We ended up catching about a dozen fish most were Bass a few were Chain Pickerel and a Gar. We caught almost everything running the shiners up under the mats. There are still some real good mats on the river and they are holding some Bass. You want to be real close to some deep water right off the channel. Anyways if you’re looking to do a little Bass fishing or Panfish fishing give us a call at BassOnline thank you.
