Hi this is Captain Steve Niemoeller with your fishing report for April 1st.
It is hard to believe we are already in April it went by so fast. I went out from St. Johns River today with Ron from Tulsa Oklahoma. We fished with shiners, that was his first time. He was looking forward to trying them! He always fishes in artificial…never shiners…We had a pretty good day, we were supposed to have a front in the afternoon but we left a little bit earlier, right before it kicked in…fishing slowed down a little, so we decided to go back. We caught a dozen fish before it started to cool down. It was very windy, we had 24-25 mph winds…hard to cast! Overall, Ron had a pretty good day and he is looking forward to trying more of that shiner fishing again, it is more fun than artificial. We are looking forward to see him again.
